Our space opened in 2019 and since then, we have been providing a wide range of clientele with high quality and personalised hair services. With 16+ years experience in the ever-evolving industry that is HAIR, Ilka prioritises creating a welcoming space where people come to elevate thier style, achieve their hair goals and have fun while doing so. With extensive experience, comes an understanding of how diverse hair and people can be, hence why at IAAC, stylists are trained and prepared to take on transformations that are unique to you. We pride ourselves on being well aquainted with all textures and natural bases from curly headed brunettes to beachy blondes and anything inbetween. 
We love HAIR, which is why maintaining its health is at the centre of our work. We work according to the following code - All hair goals are achievable, its a matter of how many sessions. Simply put, we will always work our hardest to give you the hair of your dreams, however we will not compromise its condition to do so.  At IAAC we swear by lifting low and slow, stretching out bleaching sessions for as long as possible and finding ways to incooperate your natural base while still creating a high-impact finish. In addition to our non-traditional approach, we utilise our product range to keep your manes in beautiful tact. We have full confidence in our partnerships and only align ourselves with brands that share a common interest- healthy hair and a healthy earth.

Our creative team

Ilka Andre Salon Owner and Master stylist 

Ilka has 16+ years in experience in the industry and established IAAC in 2019.  Ilka specilises in no-bleach and bleach balayages but is not limited to these services. Ilka continues to push her agenda for gorgeous, healthy manes via a holistic approach while working flexible hours.

Lilly Antouny Stylist and Team Leader 

Lilly joined us in 2022 and is dedicated to educating curly-haired clients with regard to loving and maintaining their manes in all their natural glory. Having curly hair herself, Lilly is familiar with the texture and unruley nature of curls, however her services are not limited to curly-haired clients. Lilly is in salon full time from Tuesday- Saturday. 

Amy Grech Emerging Stylist 

Amy joined us in 2024 as an emerging stylist. Amy's hair-knowledge is current and continually expanding. Amy is in salon full time from Tuesday - Saturday.

Sahara Walsh Keratin and styling specialist + social media 

Sahara has mastered the art of keratin and blowouts. Sahara is in salon every Saturday, helping the general flow of our buisiest day and capturing content of our work to share with you all. 

Snoop Security 

Snoop is a fericious daschund, protecting and serving IAAC clientele since 2020. He is our most valued team member- amongst staff and clients. Snoop has a big bark for a little guy and is a full time employee, meaning he is in salon everyday- you've been be warned!!!

Expanding Our Team 

We are always interested in hearing from potential team members. While we may not always be on the hunt for additional staff, we happily recieve and review resumes and CV's from passionate hairdressers and or eager up and comers. Even if we do not get in contact with you right away, we do keep a record of applicants and will remeber those that stand out from the crowd. When the time comes and a space opens up, we will reach out.

- What type of employment are you seeking? Part-time/casual, applies to qualified hairdressers looking for flexible hours OR students looking for an after school/uni job as an introduction into the industry Full time, applies to anyone starting or currently in the middle of an apprenticeship ( all cert3 certificates under NSW tafe require full time employment) OR qualified stylists looking for a permanent position. - Why IAAC? What is it about our salon that appeals to you and can you see yourself flourishing in our space?
- See salon trading hours, do these hours align with your lifestyle? Are you willing to work late nights?
-If you have a specialty or preferred area of hairdressing what is it? Does it align with our services at IAAC or is it something innovative and refreshing you can bring to the salon?
- Are you a team oriented worker or do you prefer to work independantly?
A Word Of Advice
Interviews can be daunting and often don't allow people to present their most authentic selves. During an interview, the only WRONG answers are the ones you think we want to hear, rather than the most TRUTHFUL ones. It's always easier said than done, but try your best to approach it calmly and carry yourself in the same manner you would on any given day. In saying that, when you look your best, you feel your best! Keeping it within the realm of professionalism, how you present yourself is a reflection of your style and personality, so show us who you are! Punctuality and drive are above all, the greatest asset saught out by employers in any field. From the get-go, being overlly puntucal is not only noticed, but much appreciated. If we can distinctly see that you have respect for our time, the same respect will be returned to you ten fold. Drive not only correlates to showing up but it extends into pouring passion into you work and going above and beyond in all apects of a job. Consider your driving factors and core values and how they relate to the hair industry and even more speifically IAAC.
